The Nice Côte d’Azur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Alpes Maritimes Regional Council, the Nice City Council, the Nice Côte d’Azur Urban Community and the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur Administrative Division have jointly organised the 6th “Lou Festin dou Pouort” Festival held in Nice Port Lympia.
The theme of the event, which will take place on Saturday 12th September from 7pm to 12.30am, is:
“Sustainable Development and Astronomy”
The festival is not only a fun, family event, hugely popular with locals who enjoy coming back to the harbour area (which will be closed to traffic for the evening) once the majority of summer tourists have gone, it is also an opportunity to highlight how important the harbour is for local and regional economic development.
Live performances by musicians, actors and dancers on the theme of astronomy and sustainable development will be held on stages set up along the quays.
Festival Programme:
7pm: Marching parade to mark the opening of the 6th harbour festival
7pm-10.30pm: Live performances, entertainment for children, a light show on the water and cookery demonstrations
10.30pm: Firework display
10.45pm: “La Fiesta dou Pouort”: Open-air dance with live music from a host of singers and groups.
